A Message from the Founder

     Dear Visitors,

I am currently working for the Tacoma Rainiers (AAA-Affiliate of the Seattle Mariners) as a Group Event Coordinator with a focus on developing our relationships with the Armed Forces Community. Having graduated from Wentworth Institute of Technology in Boston, Massachusetts I obtained a degree in Management while working for the Boston Red Sox in the Fan Services department.

Baseball has always been my true passion. I was born into what is known today as “Red Sox Nation” and raised by an avid Boston sports fan. I think back to the days as a young kid on my way to a Red Sox game. Driving over the Tobin Bridge and asking my father where Fenway Park is, only to hear him tell me to look for the large Citgo sign by the Charles River. I remember walking towards the ballpark smelling the aroma of Fenway Franks from nearly a mile away, the noise of the fans swarming around Yawkey Way, and everything else wonderful that comes along with the game of baseball as we know it. These are the very childhood memories that have fueled my passion and appreciation for America’s pastime…

I spent my youth playing organized baseball however my father’s job forced our family to relocate several times. This had a direct impact on my opportunity to continue to play baseball at a high level. At a certain point I let baseball slip away from me only to make several attempts to get back into baseball at the high school and college level. With that I was unsuccessful, however it was at that point I realized my passion was with the game of baseball. Once I realized this, I worked tirelessly to put myself in a position to obtain a career in Major League Baseball.

I plan on working in baseball for many years to come and hope to remain involved with the game regardless. For now my career has taken me from the friendly confines of Fenway Park to the Tacoma Rainiers of the Pacific Northwest who play ball at cozy Cheney Stadium; in the shadows of Mt. Rainier.

Through my work in baseball with the Red Sox and Rainiers, my passion for the game, as well as my strong interest in community outreach, I have set out to give back to our baseball communities. I have founded this non-profit effort which teaches students the fundamentals of business using the model of how organizations in baseball operate on a day-to-day basis.

Thank you for taking the time to learn more about this effort and for supporting Business & Baseball, it is greatly appreciated.

Sincerely,
